WP Playhouse to Present THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES, 9/11-10/10

The Winter Park Playhouse jumps into the Fall with the smash Off-Broadway hit The Marvelous Wonderettes September 11 - October 10 2015. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30p.m., Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2p.m. and select Wednesday, Friday and Sunday matinees at 2p.m. The preview performance is Thursday, September 10 at 7:30p.m.

Loaded with popular, hit songs from the 1950's and 60's, this musical comedy created by Roger Bean, is set at Springfield High's Senior Prom in 1958 where we meet four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! As we learn about their lives and loves, this fun-loving show treats you to all the beloved popular songs from the 50's and 60's. Take a musical trip down memory lane with hits such as "Lollipop," "It's My Party," " Dream Lover," "You Don't Own Me" and many more!

This professional production will feature returning Playhouse favorite Kate Zaloumes and newcomers Sandia Ahlers, Caitlin Doak and Lindsay Nantz - all three actresses making their Playhouse debut. Winter Park Playhouse Artistic Director, Roy Alan, will direct and choreograph with Christopher Leavy to music direct this production. The Playhouse trio will accompany - Mr. Leavy on piano, Ned Wilkinson on multiple instruments and Sam Forrest on percussion.

Ticket prices are $40 evenings, $36 senior evenings, $30 matinees, $15 student and industry professionals. Student rush "$10@10" offers $10 tickets (for students 25 years and younger) 10 minutes prior to a performance when seats are available. Preview performance is $20.
