Wicked, the smash hit musical, makes its much-anticipated return to Hennepin Theatre Trust's Orpheum Theatre, Wednesday, August 11-Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010.

WICKED veterans Marcie Dodd and Alli Mauzey will be San Francisco's new witches in the hit musical beginning June 29, 2010. This will be a reunion for Dodd and Mauzey in their roles as Elphaba and Glinda respectively, and will mark the first time the two actresses are back on stage opposite each other since they played the roles on Broadway from November 2008 - February 2009. The actresses will take a final bow with WICKED when it closes on September 5, 2010.

UK's The Stage reports that WICKED's Kerry Ellis, currently starring in the West End's OLIVER!, joins Queen's guitarist Brian May, soprano Kiri Te Kanawa, and tenor José Carreras for the final BBC Proms in the Park concert of the season, to be held September 11 in Hyde Park. The concert will be broadcast on Radio 2. The concert will end with a live video exchange with 'Last Night of the Proms' at the Royal Albert Hall.

Stephanie J. Block (Drama desk nomination for 9 to 5, Wicked, The Boy From Oz) will join Gretchen Bieber (Hairspray), Joel Blum (Two-time TONY nominee, Steel Pier, Showboat), Rebecca Eichenberger (Phantom of the Opera, Carousel), Jonathan Kaplan (Diary of Anne Frank, Theatre World Award, Tony nomination for Falsettos), Erik Liberman (Lovemusik), Lindsay Northen (Wicked), Noah Weisberg(Enron, South Pacific )and Lee Zarrett (Hair) for an industry reading of a new musical MY AMERICAN FAMILY .

Broadway star Julia Murney will be joining the Houston Symphony for a special concert series called 'Broadway Rocks!' on September 3, 4, and 5. Three additional vocalists will join Ms. Murney and will be announced at a later date. They will be backed by the Gay Men's Chorus of Houston to perform show stopping numbers from the latest generation of Broadway musicals like Wicked, Mamma Mia, The Lion King, RENT, and more.

Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts Theaterfest is pleased to present the American Premiere of My Fairytale, a musical about Hans Christian Andersen. The musical is composed by Stephen Schwartz, the award-winning composer of Godspell, Pippin and Wicked, and will be presented in time for the 2011 centennial celebration of Solvang, CA as a Danish-American community. This exclusive engagement will preview in Santa Maria's Marian Theatre August 12 - 19, 2011, then open under the stars in the Solvang Festival Theater August 26, playing through September 25, 2011.

She's also had roles in both Wicked and Hairspray - two of the musicals that have helped define the first decade of the new millennium in Broadway terms - playing Glinda in Wicked (a role she'll play again later this year in San Francisco) and Brenda in Hairspray.

National Corporate Theatre Fund (NCTF) will hold its Annual Chairman's Awards Gala and benefit on Monday, April 19 at the St. Regis New York hotel. This year, NCTF Chairman James S. Turley, Chairman & CEO of Ernst & Young, will honor Nathan Lane (returning to Broadway this season in The Addams Family), set designer Eugene Lee (Wicked) and Wells Fargo & Company. Accepting the award on behalf of Wells Fargo will be Joe Kirk, Regional President for New York and Connecticut. All net proceeds of the event will be distributed as the NCTF/WELLS FARGO FUND FOR NEW AMERICAN THEATRE.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced its 2010-2011 theater programming. The season will feature: a Center-produced revival of Stephen Sondheim's Follies; ON THE FRINGE: Eye on Edinburgh featuring new work by artists emerging from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; 11 and 12, directed by Peter Brook; Chekhov International Theatre Festival's Three Sisters and Twelfth Night; DRUID's The Cripple of Inishmaan; and Penumbra Theatre Company's new production I Wish You Love, as part of the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays. Barbara Cook's Spotlight will bring six theater cabaret performers in its fourth season, and audiences will delight in touring productions of Hair, Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific, Wicked, and Next to Normal.
