Aurora Theatre Company continues its 23rd season with TALLEY'S FOLLY. In a season dedicated to his memory, the company pays homage to one of the most prolific and revered American playwrights of the 20th century, Lanford Wilson, with 'The Talley Trilogy,' of which TALLEY'S FOLLEY is the first entry in the series of three interrelated plays.

Jan Buttram, a founding member of Abingdon Theatre Company will step down from her current position as Artistic Director next year, at the end of the organization's 2015-2016 Season in June 2016. Abingdon has begun a nationwide search for a new Artistic Director.

Toronto – The Canadian Opera Company's iconic double-bill of Béla Bartók's Bluebeard's Castle and Arnold Schoenberg's Erwartungreturns to the company's mainstage to close its 2014/2015 season. COC Music Director Johannes Debus conducts both operas for the first time, leading the COC Orchestra through these visceral and haunting scores, all brought to life in a mind-bending and gravity-defying production by world-renowned Canadian artistic visionary Robert Lepage. Bluebeard's Castleis sung in Hungarian and Erwartung is sung in German, both with English SURTITLESTM, and runs for only seven performances on May 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 23, 2015 at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts.

The Canadian Opera Company is making headlines in New York on the occasion of its recent tour to the world-renowned Brooklyn Academy of Music. Lanford Wilson's 'Talley Trilogy' continues on the Aurora Theatre Company main stage with FIFTH OF JULY. Arden Theatre Company announces composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim as the first recipient of the new Master Storyteller Award. From a blind date that resets at the ring of a bell to three chimpanzees writing the first draft of a Shakespearean play, there is madness for all tastes as the Hilberry Theatre Company presents All in the Timing by David Ives. This production will feature eight of Ives' one-act plays, and will be performed in repertory -- opening tonight, November 21, 2014 and running through January 31, 2015.

The Canadian Opera Company's 2014/2015 season opens with an opera hailed as the crowning achievement of Verdi's career, Falstaff. This new company production is led by master director Canadian Robert Carsen and COC Music Director Johannes Debus with internationally acclaimed Canadian bass-baritoneGerald Finley making a long-awaited return to the COC in his role debut as the impoverished, loveable knight, Sir John Falstaff. Sound Theatre Company completes its eighth season with the Seattle professional premiere of Blood Relations by Sharon Pollock, in partnership with GianT Projects. Blood Relations is a tense thriller based on the historical facts and speculation surrounding Lizzie Borden, who was charged with the 1892 murders of her father and stepmother. Ten years after her acquittal, Lizzie is pressed by her lover to reveal what happened. Lizzie has her re-enact the events in her place, facing the same choices with startling results.

San Francisco Opera presents the Company premiere of Carlisle Floyd's two-act opera Susannah today, September 6 at the War Memorial Opera House.

An exquisite production by Canadian theatrical legend Brian Macdonald, designed by Susan Benson with lighting by Michael Whitfield, the COC'sMadama Butterfly has become a Toronto favourite, playing to sold-out audiences at its 1990 premiere and subsequent revivals in 1994, 1998, 2003 and 2009.
