BWW Review: FRÅN BROADWAY TILL DUVEMÅLA at Linköpings Konsert och Congress
by Annette Stolt - Mar 18, 2019

The Musical Concert tour 'From Broadway to Duvemala' goes on for another season through Sweden with a new Spring 2019 Edition which premiered on March 15 in Eskilstuna. The concert this afternoon in Linkoping is the third stop. The concerts are normally sold out despite the fact that the artist may not be the most famous musical artist. But the audience seems to like the concept From Broadway to Duvemala as the main thing is the mix of songs from various musicals performed by great musical artits. However even if the artist may not be well know by the average audience they all have a strong CV. Victoria Tocca has performed around the world, for example Christine in Phantom of the Opera in Denmark and have received several international awards. Laila Adele has among other played in Jekyll and Hyde, Hairspray and Jesus Christ Superstar. Malena Tuvung is known among other things for playing Grizabella in Cats. Niklas Asknergard (former Andersson) has for example played Raoul in Phantom of the Opera, Chris in Miss Saigon and Maurius in Les Miserable on West End in London. Joachim Bergstrom is participating for the first time in this tour. Most recently he played in Bridges of Madison County with Victoria Tocca and he is also on of the singers in High Society where he sings with Karl Dyall and Rennie Mirro. In total five musical artists with really good voices and extremely good stage presence. The choir JoyVoice participated and strengthened where it was necessary. The band under direction of Carina E Nilsson included Conrad Boqvist, Fredrik Bergstrom and Magnus Eugenson.

BWW Review: WEST SIDE STORY Comes Alive in Immersive Production at Theater West End in Sanford, FL
by Aaron Wallace - Feb 17, 2019

At Theater West End, you've entered the world of WEST SIDE STORY before even taking your seat. Getting there requires walking across the blue-collar, gang-ridden streets of 1950s New York in the Upper West Side. There's graffiti on the floor beneath you and the walls all around. T-shirts hang out to dry on clotheslines over your head. There's a basketball goal on the cage-wire fence the band sits behind. You might even be seated next to a fire hydrant or a traffic cone. It takes a moment to remember that this same space was home to Madison County's bridges just a couple months ago...
