A friendly reminder! Darren Criss and Lena Hall will launch the highly anticipated National Tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival, reprising their critically-acclaimed performances at the SHN Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco (October 2-30) and the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles (November 1-27).

Amphibian Stage Productions has announced the final cast member for its fourth main stage play of the 2016 season, Smart Pretty Funny by Kathleen Culebro. Starring Gretchen Corbett, Van Quattro, Vanessa DeSilvio, Ivan Jasso, and Anastasia Muñoz, the play will run Thursday, October 20 through Sunday, November 13 at the Berlene T. and Jarrell R. Milburn Theatre at Amphibian Stage Productions.

Riverdance- the Anniversary Tour returns to the USA from January to June 2017. J.L. Williams rejoins the ongoing 20th Anniversary tour and will be featured for the first time as the 'Baritone Soloist' who sings 'Freedom/Heal Their Hearts' as well as reprising his role as one of two African American tap dancers in the showstopping number 'Trading Taps'.

The Producers features music and lyrics by Mel Brooks, a book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, and the original Broadway direction and choreography by Susan Stroman.

Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director), recipient of the 2016 Regional Theatre Tony Award, launches the 2016-2017 season with Mel Brooks' award-winning musical The Producers, directed by Don Stephenson and choreographed by Bill Burns. The Producers features music and lyrics by Mel Brooks, a book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, and the original Broadway direction and choreography by Susan Stroman.

Vic Theatre has announced two shows at one of Melbourne's most renowned and multi-faceted hubs 45 Downstairs, The Gathering and The Last Five Years. This unique presentation will see two shows play in the same theatre at alternating times.

Drama Desk and OBIE-winning Transport Group will present Picnic and Come Back, Little Sheba: William Inge in Repertory, directed by Artistic Director Jack Cummings III, two plays in rotating repertory as the centerpiece of its 2016-17 season.  Performances begin Thursday, February 23 and run through Sunday, April 23 at the Gym at Judson, 243 Thompson Street.  The opening night has been set for Sunday, March 26.

Walnut Street Theatre opens its landmark 208th season with Rodgers and Hammerstein's Tony Award-winning romantic musical, SOUTH PACIFIC. Directed by Charles Abbott, with choreography by Michelle Gaudette, this production begins previews on September 6th, opens on September 14th and runs through October 23rd on the Walnut's Mainstage.

Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) begins its 2016-17 season with the Diamond Anniversary production of the beloved musical My Fair Lady, based on Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, and music by Frederick Loewe.

More exciting casting has been announced for Transport Group's benefit concert celebrating the classic 1954 musical, Peter Pan.

According to Artistic Director/Producer Tony Waag, Tap Treasures Showcase "reinvestigates and revisits eight historic locations in Manhattan that contributed to the evolution of tap dance." The hour-long show was performed at The Duke on 42nd Street on Thursday, July 14, 2016.

The Old Globe presents the West Coast premiere of Paul Gordon's delightfully romantic new musical SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, developed with Rick Boynton and presented in association with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where it was commissioned and had its world premiere in April 2015.

Sudacas Theater, a new Latino American theater company has announced that it will present IMPLICATIONS OF COHABITATION, a new heartfelt comedy written by Vanessa Verduga about the implications of one man's life choices after his wife dies and he attempts to reconnect with his three adult children. The production, which begins previews on Friday, August 5th at Theater Row's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street), will have it's official opening on Friday, August 12th at 8:00PM and is directed by Argentinian director Leni Mendez. This summer, NYMF will be on quest to save Paradise one Scrabble tile at a time. The new musical, The Last Word will be presented at the Duke on 42nd Street, a NEW 42ND STREET project (229 W 42nd St) . The Last Word is written by Brett Sullivan (Billy Elliot Live Film Director) and will be directed by Michael Bello (Doctor Zhivago), choreography by Nick Kenkel (Gotta Dance, Legally Blonde) and Musical Supervisor is Conrad Helfrich (Dirty Dancing).  It will begin performances on July 22 and will run through July 29, 2016. Tickets are $27.50 and can be purchased by visiting NYMF.org.

Awash in red velvet and gold fringe, the Music Hall at Fair Park stage appeared ready to drift back to the glory days of 1930's Broadway this week as the cast of 42nd Street moved their dancing feet to the Dallas Summer Musicals leg of their national tour. Originally produced in 1980, 42nd Street quickly became a Broadway classic winning Tony Awards® for Best Musical and Best Choreography under the direction of Gower Champion. Its revival in 2001 was equally well-received with a Tony Award® for Best Revival of a Musical. 42nd Street is the archetypal tale of a small town girl named Peggy (played by Caitlin Ehlinger) achieving her big Broadway dreams by understudying starlet Dorothy Brock (Kaitlin Lawrence) with the grace of a hotshot producer, Julian Marsh (Matthew J. Taylor).
