Seattle Shakespeare Launches The Groundlings Access Program

Seattle Shakespeare Company launches a new access program for patrons - the Groundlings. Groundlings can get great deals on day-of-show rush tickets or can purchase an extremely low-priced subscription package. Both options will be available for purchase at a Groundling Sale Weekend January 17 and 18.
"Right after we achieved our subscription goal this season, we decided to offer a way for folks who might be struggling during these rocky times to come see the wonderful work of our company," said Managing Director John Bradshaw. "If your economic situation is barring you from experiencing theatre, then this is a way we can help."Being a Groundling at Seattle Shakespeare Company works two ways: a patron can purchase a limited, pay-what-you-will Groundling subscription ($20 minimum) that includes a Sunday evening ticket to the remaining four productions at Seattle Shakespeare Company, or for $5 they can sign up to become a Groundling member with the ability to purchase $10 day-of-show rush tickets. Both options have restrictions in terms of dates and availability.During the Groundling Sale Weekend, only 60 Groundling subscription packages will be made available for purchase (limit 2 per person), and will only be available for sale in person at the Seattle Shakespeare Company Box Office from 1-5 PM on January 17 and 18.
