As summer wanes and autumn beckons, Theater Schmeater is charging forward with four months of varied and original entertainment, including a devastating (and rarely seen) Tennessee Williams drama, two world premieres by Seattle playwrights, and a return to one of the best-loved of all shows from the Golden Age of Television.

First up is Suddenly Last Summer by Tennessee Williams. In this shocking and acclaimed drama, mid-century denial and poignant sexual code underlie a modern Greek tragedy. Mrs. Venable's son Sebastian left her at home when he took his annual Mediterranean romp. Instead he took his poor cousin Catherine, and now his mother has employed a young psychotherapist to pull the story from the disturbed young woman's memory. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 8pm, September 11th-Oct 10th.

Starting during Summer's run as a late night show is BRASS: Oh My Azaleas! by Louis Broome and John Longenbaugh. In an 1885 very different from our own, there are no more trusted servants of Queen and Country than the Brass Family, a clan of Victorian science geniuses. But even Lord and Lady Brass find their resources challenged when their feud with the nefarious Graveyard King is interrupted by a body falling out of the sky and into their garden, leading to an adventure involving courtesans, Gurkhas, and a box full of death. A late night adventure serial that's also premiering as a radio series and a short film, Oh My Azaleas! is the first theatrical chapter in the story of the most remarkable family of the 19th century. Fridays and Saturdays 10:30pm, September 25th-Oct. 10th.

Then it's time for our annual fundraiser Auction Schmauction! Here's the chance for Schmee's supporters to show some love for the theater by making silent bids on a collection of original and one-of-a-kind items and adventures, including signed sports memorabilia, wine, art and much more. A memorable evening of old faces, new friends and special entertainment, this year features as a special raffle item a seven-day Holland America Cruise for two! Saturday, October 17th at 6pm.

Just in time for Halloween is Welcome to My Secret Lair by Courtney Kessler. First heard as a one-act play at Theater Schmeater's Quick and Dirty New Play Readings in 2014, this world premiere comedy brings a touch of romance to your autumn-in a suitably creepy way. A mad scientist does all of his dating online, but when he brings a number of women to his secret mountain laboratory, he finds little satisfaction. What's it all about if you don't have someone to share your evil plans with? A workshop production, directed by Grant Scott. Thursdays-Saturdays at 8 pm, October 23rd-31st.

Finally we end 2015 with The Twilight Zone-Live! The Schmee continues its longest and most beloved tradition, featuring three episodes of the iconic 60's TV show written by the show's creator and host Rod Serling, presented live on stage. This year includes three classic episodes: Will The Real Martian Please Stand Up (first aired May 26, 1961), a classic examination of Cold War paranoia; the end-of-days drama The Midnight Sun (Nov 17th 1961), and the seasonal classic about an alcoholic department store Santa who gets a miraculous shot at redemption, The Night of the Meek (first aired Dec 23rd 1960). All three are directed by Schmeater founder Tim Moore, who also portrays "Rod." Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm. Nov. 20th- Dec 19th, no performance Thanksgiving Nov. 26th.
