Journey to the Nightmare Realm for Annex's 30th Season

By:

When Mary, played by Corinne Magin, pricks her finger, her blood awakens the ancient Slither, and now she must journey through the Nightmares Nine to save herself from his gnashing teeth. This hilarious and hallucinatory fairytale creeps, crawls, and catapults its way through the tantalizing and terrifying darkside of the imagination.

"This is big, stylized, ridiculous crazy work. Sometimes because of that, we can get caught up in the spectacle, but what's important is that this is still a story about a girl facing down her nightmares." - Director Eddie DeHais

"Initially it was born of loss, heartache, and the memory of a ghost I couldn't shake. This sparked the desire to craft a female lead who was drowning in her darkness and had to face terrible horrors, ultimately fighting to save her own life. After that (and a few very depressing/boring pages out of my system), it was the product of my morbid sense of humor mixed with a taste for spooky fun and dark adventures." - Playwright Amy Escobar
