Patrick Monahan, a Teesside-born Irish-Iranian comedian, returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with a brand new stand-up show. In 60 minutes, Monahan draws on his experience moving to England from Iran in 1980 to explore his mixed parentage, childhood in Iran, and the realities of navigating life between two vastly different cultures. The show blends observational comedy with heartfelt storytelling, addressing themes of identity, rejected visas, and airport security checks. Monahan is a 16-year veteran of the Edinburgh Festival and winner of ITV's Show Me the Funny.
