The Lonely Girls Club Will Take Community Trip to ATTICWIFE at Edinburgh Fringe
The Lonely Girls Club will make its first community trip to Edinburgh for the show at theSpace @ Niddry St.
Coming together for a night of girlhood, community, and international connection, The Lonely Girls Club will take their first ever community trip to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival to see atticwife, a new play about a tradwife in trouble, produced by an all-female team based in New York, RnL Productions.
Taking place at theSpace @ Niddry St (Fringe Venue 9), the evening will consist of pre-show and post-show mingling at the venue's bar, with the opportunity to get know other like minded girls from the community, and to meet the cast and creative team behind the show.
“atticwife showcases the unlikely bond between a problematic tradwife influencer, and a butch from her past with a savior complex, creating a dynamic and heartbreaking backdrop for conversations on female community,” said Rebecca Wilson of RnL Productions, in a statement. “The Lonely Girls Club has dedicated themselves to creating spaces for women to connect, and we could not be happier to help further this mission!”

The Lonely Girls Club was created in autumn 2018 by founder, Holly Cooke, after she moved to London on her own and didn't know anyone. Although it had always been her life long dream to move to London and work in fashion, she quickly learned how lonely it can be without friends around you.
Starting with 10 people in a Facebook group, her first event in November of 2018 consisted of five girls meeting at a pancake house in Covent Garden.
Now over 7 years later, The Lonely Girls Club is a national organisation bringing women together to connect, find support, try new things, and make friends, with over 160k community members and events happening every week up and down the UK.
About atticwife:
In an attic that only locks from the outside, a tradwife influencer gleefully live-streams to millions of followers (her “wives and mommies”), about her upcoming lobotomy. She's used to dealing with haters online, but when a bleeding-heart butch from her past enters the chat, she's forced to reconsider how “perfect” her offline life really is.
Already a seasoned performer and comedy writer, atticwife is Laura Clare Browne's playwriting debut. She was inspired (and unsettled) by the rise of tradwife content on social media, spurring her to tackle the concept the only way she knew how: with comedy. The result is a razor sharp satire about alt-right grifters, isolation, and internalized misogyny. atticwife is a “wickedly funny and surprisingly emotional” play about women who hate women–for everyone who loves them.
atticwife has a smashing all-female team! Written by and starring Laura Clare Browne (macbitches, NYTimes Critic's Pick) as Astrid Fisher, and featuring Jen Clark (VAPE: The Grease Parody Musical, Only Murders in the Building, Girl5Eva) as Leah Park. Directed by Rebecca Wilson (Resident Director, The Crush Plays Project) with producing and fundraising support from Crystal-Marie Alberson (Short Plays Where the Queers Win, WOW Café Theater). They are absolutely thrilled to be presenting their first show at the Fringe after a successful staged reading of atticwife in NYC at The Tank's Limefest in 2025, and a sold out preview run at 59E59 Theater's East to Edinburgh program in July of 2026.
