Synchrony Quartet is the Grand Prize winner of the Senior Division/Mixed Instrumental category of the 2026 Coltman Chamber Music Competition. The Chicago-based saxophone quartet features Philip Kleutgens, soprano saxophone; Hudson O'Reilly, alto saxophone; Matthew Johnson, tenor saxophone; and Haven Kahn, baritone saxophone. They are dedicated to performing contemporary music and are currently premiering four new works, including one by Chicago-based composer Stacy Garrop. This program includes works by Caroline Shaw, Anton Webern, and Astor Piazzolla.
