An elaborate laugh-filled farce by America’s premier comic playwright. Four couples arrive at the townhouse of an affluent New York City mayor and his wife to attend a party celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary. The party never begins because the host has shot himself in the head (it’s only a flesh wound), his wife is missing, and the servants have disappeared. His lawyer’s cover up gets progressively more difficult to sustain as the other guests arrive and nobody can remember who has been told what about whom. All the guests begin to deliriously unravel as they are drawn into the mayhem that ratchets up in true farce fashion.
