Winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award. This brilliant and suspenseful drama centers on Sister Aloysius, a strong-minded nun who is the principal of a Bronx school in 1964. She takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the popular, liberal priest Father Flynn of improper relations with a male student. How far will she go when she’s not entirely certain of the truth? Who will she draw into her treacherous web of accusations and half-truths? The play’s quick- fire dialogue draws us into its emotional whirlpool of conflicting loyalties, as it tackles themes of religion, morality, authority, and certainty.
