SBCC Theatre Arts Department to Present GOOD KIDS

By:

Something happened to Chloe after that party last Saturday night. The problem is, she can't remember anything. And everybody at high school is talking about what happened. Was she raped? Did she ask for it? How could those boys do that to her? Or did they? Set in a high school in the American mid-west, in a world of Facebook, Twitter, smart phones and YouTube, Good Kids explores the very public aftermath of a sex crime and its cover-up. Who's telling the truth? Whose version of the story do you believe; and what does that say about you? Loosely based on the Steubenville High School rape case, Good Kids is provocative, haunting and stunningly current.

Directed by Katie Laris, GOOD KIDS will feature some of our best student actors. The cast will be: Lindsay Bovshow, Samantha Demangate, Alyssa Edzant, Dean Garcia, Selina Murdy, Eliza Packzkowski, Ryan Price, Toby Roennqvist, Nicole Romero, Linn Sandin, Kendrick Surrell and Alizah Walton.

GOOD KIDS will run in the Jurkowitz Theatre on SBCC's West Campus, 900 block of Cliff Dr. Performances are November 12-15, November 18-21, Wednesday through Saturday @ 7:30pm, Sunday @ 2pm, Saturday 11/21 @ 2pm. The Sunday, November 15 performance will be live-captioned for the hearing-impaired. Ticket prices are $18 general/$15 seniors/$10 students and seating is general admission. Due to the intimate nature of the Jurkowitz Theatre, no late seating is permitted. Parking is free and near the theatre. Call the Garvin Theatre Box Office at 805-965-5935 or purchase tickets online at www.theatregroupsbcc.com.

Please Note: This play contains adult language and situations.
