Cast Announced for Ryan Scott Oliver's 35MM at Center Stage Theater

By: Jan. 25, 2016
Out of the Box Theatre Company has just announced the full cast and creative team for its Santa Barbara premiere production of Ryan Scott Oliver's 35MM: A Musical Exhibition. This immersive cabaret production runs Thursday March 31st through Saturday April 9th, 2016 at Center Stage Theater. Ticket information can be found on Out of the Box Theatre Company's website at http://www.outoftheboxtheatre.org.

A picture is worth 1,000 words - what about a song? Can a picture inspire a song or fifteen? In 35MM, each photograph (by Matthew Murphy) creates a unique song, moments frozen in time; a glimmer of a life unfolding, a glimpse of something happening. A stunning new multimedia musical which explores a groundbreaking new concept in musical theatre, this intricately woven collection of "snapshot stories" told through song re-imagines what the modern American musical can be.

The cast includes Tyler Matthew Burk (West Side Story, Musical Theater West; Guys and Dolls, Oregon Shakespeare Festival), Sophie Holt (Rent, OYES Theatre), Shannon Saleh (Bonnie & Clyde, Out of the Box Theatre Co.), Christopher Short (BARE: A Pop Musical and Bonnie & Clyde, Out of the Box Theatre Co.), Willie Simpson (Aspirations, Elements Theatre Collective), Kelly Sparrman (Mostly Musicals; South Pacific, High Street Arts), and Zachary Thompson (Heathers, Out of the Box Theatre Co.). The production team includes Samantha Eve (Director/Choreographer, BroadwayWorld winner for BARE: A Pop Musical/The Wild Party), Kacey Link (Music Director, BroadwayWorld winner for BARE: A Pop Musical), Theodore Michael Dolas (Set/Lighting Designer, BroadwayWorld winner for BARE: A Pop Musical), Katie Williams (Stage Manager), and Maggie Yates (Assistant Stage Manager).
