Before there was Hamilton, there was In the Heights. The brilliance of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s new vision of American Musical Theater is spectacularly realized in both shows, in all its hip hop glory. Energetic and infectious, this is something completely different for the Woodminster stage.
In the Heights tells the story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood – a place where the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It’s a community on the brink of change, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind.
Performed live, outdoors by a large cast and professional orchestra in historic Woodminster Amphitheater. Come early and enjoy a stroll along hillside trails, views of the Bay Area, and a picnic before the show.
Tickets available in advance or at the door. Check website for discounts including free and steeply reduced price tickets for children and teens 16 and younger, half price tickets at the door for 17-30 year olds, group rates, and more.
