San Francisco Opera presents Mozart's Idomeneo from June 14 to 25. Music Director Eun Sun Kim conducts this new production directed by Lindy Hume, featuring a cast led by Matthew Polenzani as Idomeneo, Daniela Mack as Idamante, Ying Fang as Ilia, and Elza van den Heever as Elettra. The opera, set in the aftermath of the Trojan War, explores themes of duty and sacrifice as a king grapples with a fateful promise to the gods. This production also showcases the artistry of the San Francisco Opera Chorus under the direction of John Keene.
