Spreckels Theatre Company presents "Deathtrap," the classic Broadway hit by Ira Levin. Once a successful writer of Broadway thrillers, playwright Sidney Bruhl has become a bitter, cynical, desperate playwright after an 18-year dry spell of box office flops. Sidney has reached the point where he would kill for a really good script. Sidney seizes the opportunity for a reversal of fortune when he receives a script from a student playwright — a thriller which Sidney recognizes would be a smashing Broadway success. It's perfect, well - to be perfectly honest, it's to die for. With plot twists and thrills, this suspenseful comic mystery leaves everyone dying with laughter. Directed by David Yen
