Woman's Will, founded in 1998, is the Bay Area's only all female Shakespeare's company. The company will be presenting FREE performances of The Taming of the Shrew in parks throughout the Bay Area.

Woman's Will opens their season with fireworks in the form of famous, furious and fascinating Kate and Petruchio--Shakespeare's sassiest couple. Kate, untamed, meets Petruchio, equally wild. They find (and fight) their way to peace and perfect love in each other's arms.

Forget Scarlett and Rhett, Taming of the Shrew, written in the 16th century, is the original great romance. The show prepares the audience to have their untamed heart conquered - Taming of the Shrew is FREE in local parks.

Taming of the Shrew stars returning El Beh, having performed in Woman's Will's Good Person of Szechuan last summer, and newcomer Kate Jopson, as the fiery lovers Petruchio and Kate. The play is directed by company founder and long-time artistic director, Erin Merritt.

The production team for Taming of the Shrew is Maggie McCally (Stage Manager/Officer), Carrie Mullen (Set/Prop Designer), Carla Pantoja (Fight Director) Jessica Peter (Costume Designer) and Anne Elizabeth Westendorf (Asst. Director/Messenger)
