Rufus Wainwright to Perform with San Francisco Symphony, 11/13

Rufus Wainwright will perform with The San Francisco Symphony in the world premiere of 'Five Shakespeare Sonnets,' www.rufuswainwright.com has announced.

The concert, to be held on November 11, 12, and 13, will also include Ravel's Piano Concerto and Kurt Weill's Second Symphony.  Jeffrey Kahane will conduct the concerto. 

'Off the Podium,' a question and answer session with the performers, will be held after the November 12 performance.

Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright's albums include 'Rufus Wainwright,' 'Poses,' 'Want One,' 'Want Two,' 'Release the Stars,' 'Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall,' 'Milwaukee at Last!!!,' and 'All Days Are Nights: Songs for Lulu.'  He has appeared in films 'The Aviator' and 'Heights' and has recorded tracks for many films, including 'Brokeback Mountain,' 'Moulin Rouge,' and 'Shrek.'
