Mill Valley Chamber Music Society Presents Concertante, 11/13

Concertante performs in concert for the Mill Valley Chamber Music Society 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011 at the Mt. Tamalpais United Methodist Church in Mill Valley.
Entering its 15th season, Concertante has established itself as a chamber ensemble that combines an equal measure of world-class virtuosity and a commitment to explore and enhance the chamber music literature. The group performs in varied combinations of instrumentalists in a wide array of repertoire, ranging from works by established masters to less commonly performed and living composers.The Nov. 13 concert program includes Capriccio, Op. 85 (Richard Strauss); Verklärte Nacht (Transfigured Night) for string sextet, Op. 4 (Arnold Schoenberg); and String Sextet in B Flat Major, op. 18 (Brahms).Tickets cost $15 to $30 and are available online through Brown Paper Tickets, by calling 415-381-4453 or sold at the door.
