MTC Hosts Annual CAST PARTY! Spring Fundraiser Tonight
Marin Theatre Company hosts Cast Party!, its annual spring fundraiser tonight, May 9, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. at the Outdoor Art Club in Mill Valley. All proceeds benefit the 47-year-old nonprofit theater's artistic and educational programs. Cast Party! will feature a gourmet seasonal dinner catered by Stacy Scott Catering, fine wines, lively auctions and the unique opportunity to meet MTC's affiliated artists, including actors and designers from the company's recent productions.
The event's charmingly rustic venue, Bernard Maybeck's 109-year-old Arts and Crafts-style event hall, is located in the heart of downtown Mill Valley. The evening begins with cocktails, music and a silent auction. During an elegant sit-down dinner, guests will have the opportunity to talk with actors and other theater artists like stage managers and directors Jasson Minadakis. The evening is capped by a live auction, presided over by auctioneer Chad Carvey. Previous prizes have included unique experiences like a one-of-a-kind trip to Washington DC, a private performance in your home and a choose-your-own San Francisco Bay Area theater package of five shows at any theater company.
This annual sold-out event attracts over 100 prominent community members, corporate professionals and philanthropic leaders from throughout the Bay Area. This year's spring fundraiser is chaired by Susan Holdstein, Lori Lerner, Stacy Scott, Fred and Kathleen Taylor and Beth Wintersteen.
