'Legally Blonde' SF Tix On Sale; 'Jersey Boys' Rush

Tickets are on sale now for the world premiere of the new musical, Legally Blonde, playing San Francisco's Golden Gate Theatre January 23 through February 24, 2007.

Tickets ($35-$90) can be purchased by calling 415-512-7770 or online at www.shnsf.com.   Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Orpheum Theatre Box Office, 1192 Market Street at 8th, (Mon - Sat, 10AM – 6PM).

Legally Blonde, based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the hit MGM film, stars Laura Bell Bundy as Elle Woods. Joining her are Christian Borle as Emmett, Orfeh as Paulette, Richard H. Blake as Warner, Kate Shindle as Vivienne, Nikki Snelson as Brooke and Michael Rupert as Professor Callahan.  At the helm of the creative team of LEGALLY BLONDE is Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, who makes his Broadway directorial debut and will also choreograph. Music and lyrics are by both Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, and the book is by Heather Hach. James Sampliner serves as music director.

Also featured as part of the Best of Broadway 2006-07 series is the smash Broadway musical, Jersey Boys, kick-starting its national tour in San Francisco.

Seats in the front row of the center orchestra will be available for $25 for every performance of Jersey Boys playing the Curran Theatre now through Feb. 11, 2007.

The $25 tickets go on sale at the Curran Theatre box office, on the day of performance only, two hours prior to the show and are available to anyone, cash only, with a limit of two tickets per person. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.   A valid photo ID must be presented at time of purchase.

Jersey Boys is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons - Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi, and how this group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time.   They wrote their own songs, invented their own sound and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty.   Jersey Boys features such Four Season's hits as "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Sherry," "Walk Like A Man," "Oh, What A Night," and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You."
