Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® will return to the Bay Area with the 138th edition of The Greatest Show On Earth™, this year presenting Over The TopSM, a wacky and whimsical circus spectacular where audiences will experience maniacal mayhem as the Ringmaster Chuck Wagner and clown eccentric Tom Dougherty compete for control of a magic top hat that brings to life whatever wonders they can imagine. From the zany mishaps devised by the clown to the stupendous spectacle conjured by the Ringmaster, Over the Top creates a world where dogs fly, Asian elephants skip, hop, and groove, and even a porcupine can steal the spotlight.

Tickets are on sale for both Bay Area engagements.  For an extra special circus experience, Ringling Bros. offers Circus CelebritySM seats, which include an exciting opportunity to become part of the show and jump directly into the fun on the arena floor.  The show plays in Oakland at the ORACLE Arena Aug. 14-17 and at HP Pavilion at San Jose Aug. 20-24. At both locations the shows are preceded by free Animal Open Houses where ticket holders can view the magnificent animals that call Ringling Bros. home, and the All-Access Pre-Show where everyone is invited to interact with the performers before the lights go down and the show begins.

Also featured in the 138th edition of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® are the Bombastic Bouncers, a team never before seen in America combining gigantic intertubes and awe-inspiring acrobatics; the courageous Daniel Raffo standing eye to eye with a pack of powerful Bengal tigers; Motor Cycle Mania racing seven motorcycles at speeds of 65 miles per hour in a globe of steel and even taking one across the high wire; The Flying Caceres in America's only indoor double decker trapeze act; the world-famous Ringling Bros. clowns; and many other acts, all summoned and manipulated by the dueling clown and ringmaster in the Greatest Show On Earth®.

Circus-goers' favorite perennial pachyderm presentation, the majestic Asian elephants once again make their grand appearance underscoring Ringling Bros.' unwavering commitment to educate children of all ages about this endangered species. Since 1995, the millions of people who attend our circuses each year support Asian elephant preservation efforts as five percent of tickets purchased funds conservation programs at the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Center for Elephant Conservation® in Florida. At Ringling Bros., Asian elephants serve as educational ambassadors, allowing The Greatest Show On Earth to fund programs that save the species, educate millions and instill a passion for the largest land mammal in generations to come.
