Aurora Theatre's Script Club to Discuss FIRES IN THE MIRROR, April 20

Berkeley's acclaimed Aurora Theatre Company has announced the third Aurora Script Club meeting of the season with Anna Deveare Smith's Pulitzer-nominated play Fires in the Mirror on Monday, April 30, 2011 at 7:30pm at the Aurora Theatre, 2081 Addison Street, Berkeley, CA 94704.

In Fires in the Mirror, Smith presents a one-woman chronicle of the many viewpoints of people connected to one event, the Crown Heights, Brooklyn riots of August of 1991. Arthur Schnitzler's play Anatol (1893) episodically tells the story of people connected to one man.

Aurora Theatre Company Education Director Michael Mansfield hosts this moderated discussion series. The Aurora Script Club was conceived and developed by Aurora Theatre Company Artistic Director Tom Ross. In honor of Aurora Theatre Company's 20th anniversary, all of the Script Club selections for the season are plays that premiered 20 years ago during the 1991-92 theater season.
