The SpongeBob Musical, directed by Katie Banville with musical direction by Patrick Marion, brings the underwater world of Bikini Bottom to life at Cygnet Theatre. When disaster threatens their home, SpongeBob (Bailey Lee) and friends — including Patrick Star (Berto Fernández), Sandy Cheeks (Rebecca Murillo), and Squidward Q. Tentacles (Andrew Oswald) — must band together to save the day. The production features original songs by Aerosmith, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Sara Bareilles, Panic! At the Disco, David Bowie, and more. With imaginative scenic design, bold costumes, and inventive puppetry, the show explores themes of friendship, resilience, and hope in the face of adversity.
