Lani Gobaleza’s sophomore play, Nighttime Julianne, will have its world premiere as part of the 13th San Diego International Fringe Festival. A solo show, Nighttime Julianne follows the story of a woman on the eve of her 35th birthday, two years after losing her wife and dog in a tragic accident.
Reuniting with Gobaleza is award-winning film and theater actor-director, Earl Paus, who directed her debut play Every Day Vanilla in 2023. Supporting Gobaleza and Paus on the production of Nighttime Julianne are sound designer Eliza Vedar and stage manager CJ Mendoza, who previously worked on Every Day Vanilla, and choreographer Trixi Anne Balinggan Agyao.
This performance contains audience participation, strong language, depictions of sexuality, and portrayals of discrimination and grief. Viewer discretion is advised.
One-time Fringe tag required with first ticket purchase. Passes available for multiple shows.
