Diversionary Theatre's San Diego premiere of The Further Adventures of Hedda Gabler, a satirical romp from the author of Avenue Q, Jeff Whitty and directed by Matt McGrath, officially opens April 6 and runs through April 28, 2013.

What happens to our favorite literary figures after the curtain falls and the last page turns on their story? Is it really The End? Moments after her nightly death, Hedda Gabler and Mammy (yes, that Mammy) head out in search of a more fulfilling ending, encountering a host of the greatest characters of stage, page and screen along the way. Jeff Whitty, one of the twisted minds that brought you Avenue Q, takes the heroines and audience on a comedic journey in search of life beyond the original authors' wildest dreams.

The cast includes Lynaé DePriest as Flossie, Yolanda Franklin as Mammy, Tony Houck as Steven, Luke Jacobs as Patrick, Dangerfield G. Moore as Eilert Lovborg, Andrew Oswald as Tesman, Jacque Wilke as Hedda and Shana Wride as Medea.

The creative team for Diversionary Theatre's production of The Further Adventures of Hedda Gabler includes Matt Scott (Scenic Designer), Michelle Caron (Lighting Designer), Kevin Anthenill (Sound Designer), Shirley Pierson (Costume Designer), David Medina (Prop Designer), Bret Young (Producer) and John E. Alexander (Executive Director). The production is sponsored by Carlos Malamud.
