San Diego Musical Theatre is pleased to welcome Colleen Kollar Smith as Executive Director.

A native San Diegan, Smith has made a career on and off San Diego stages with such organizations as Lamb's Players Theatre, CYT San Diego, and most recently New Village Arts.

Founders Erin and Gary Lewis say "We, along with the board of SDMT are thrilled to have Colleen's expertise, education, and vision guiding our organization into its next exciting phase of growth. We know that with Colleen as part of our Team, we have a new and fresh energy that will help SDMT to provide more opportunities to enrich the development of the arts in San Diego."

Smith adds, "I have admired SDMT's quality of product and process over the years and am thrilled to join a remarkable team here. In addition to the season of Broadway musicals SDMT has become known for, we are poised to build exciting new programs that we hope will attract and serve new audiences. Gary and Erin have long wanted to build an education program within SDMT, which will be a priority. As a product of such a program, I believe in the profound impact of the arts within the educational system and will work diligently towards providing these opportunities to San Diego youth."

San Diego Musical Theatre's mission is to passionately produce and provide professional musical theatre that ignites the human spirit. San Diego Musical Theatre is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.
