On October 29, 2011, San Diego theatre aficionados will be captivated by the impeccable talents of the legendary Linda Eder IN CONCERT with Tom Wopat - the Tony Award® Nominated Broadway star! This rare appearance in concert is a "must see," giving audiences a chance to experience these renowned artists in the beautifully restored, historic Balboa Theatre. For one night only, audiences will be enchanted by two of the greatest contemporary voices of our time singing some of their well-known favorites.

Showcasing one of the greatest contemporary voices of our time, Linda Eder's diverse repertoire spans Broadway, standards, pop, country and jazz. Her career soared after appearing on Star Search in 1987, where she won for an unprecedented 12 consecutive weeks. This success led to a leading role on Broadway as Lucy Harris in Jekyll & Hyde, where her acclaimed performance was nominated for a Drama Desk Award. The concert stage remains her mainstay, where she performs for sold-out crowds and venues across the country.

Eder launched her recording career in 1991 with her self-titled debut album and soon established a vital niche as America's most popular and acclaimed new interpreter of pop standards and theatrical songs with such releases as And So Much More, It's No Secret Anymore, Christmas Stays The Same, Gold, Storybook, Broadway My Way and By Myself: The Songs of Judy Garland.

The concert stage remains the mainstay of Eder's career. She has performed for sold-out crowds and venues across the country and throughout Europe. Her concerts have been televised on Bravo and PBS. Trail Mix, her primetime Animal Planet special, was a natural extension of her love of animals. Linda has performed at many prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Davies Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Wolftrap and the Ravinia Festival. Always touring in good company, Eder's collaborations include Oscar-winning composer pianist Marvin Hamlisch, Tony-winner Michael Feinstein and Keith Lockhart, conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra.

It's a rare performer who can star on a classic television action series that's become part of American pop culture, win top billing on Broadway marquees in award-winning hit musicals, record solo albums featuring country chart-makers and play the leading man in a hit situation comedy. Tom Wopat's flexibility doesn't seem to be a matter of self-conscious role playing but an expression of his far-reaching musical tastes and personal experience.

Tom Wopat first came to public attention in the late-1970s as the freewheeling Luke Duke on the TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. In 1977, he made his Broadway debut in Cy Coleman's I Love My Wife. Wopat went on to perform in the Tony Award® -winning City of Angels and Guys and Dolls. He received a Tony Nomination® for creating the role of Frank Butler in the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun, opposite Bernadette Peters; and revived the role on tour. In 2008, Wopat returned to Broadway as Tom Hurley in A Catered Affair first seen at the Old Globe Theatre (including San Diego) with Faith Prince and Harvey Fierstein. 2011 sees him again on Broadway starring as Frank Abagnale Sr. in the new adaptation of Catch Me If You Can, directed by Jack O'Brien. Though Wopat had never done a sitcom before, he seized the opportunity when Chuck Lorre offered him a leading role in Cybil. Other credits include a recurring role on Home Improvement, the critically acclaimed NBC movie Just My Imagination, and most recently HBO's Taking Chance alongside Kevin Bacon. Wopat has also become a successful recording artist with many albums to his credit, including A Little Bit Closer, Don't Look Back, Learning to Love, and The Still of the Night. In 2005, he released Dissertation on the State of Bliss-featuring the music of Harold Arlen-and his most recent offering, Consider it Swung
