1958. New York City. Master abstract expressionist Mark Rothko (Jose Flores) has just landed the biggest commission in the history of modern art, a series of murals for New York’s famed Four Seasons Restaurant. As Rothko and his newly hired assistant, Ken (Pepe Treviño), work feverishly, Rothko begins to face the agonizing possibility that his crowning achievement could also become his undoing.

Marco Gonzalez (Director) stages the play in an immersive 42 seat site-specific production, where the audience surrounds the action. Written by John Logan (Gladiator, The Aviator, Skyfall), RED fictionalizes a behind the scenes account of the creation of a masterpiece by one of the most important artists of the 20th century.
