San Pedro Playhouse Presents THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, 5/18-6/17
The San Pedro Playhouse will present THE DROWSY CHAPERONE Russell Hill Rogers Theater from May 18-June 17.
The Drowsy Chaperone opens on a youngish man sitting alone in his living room on a gray day feeling “a little blue.” To cheer himself up, he plays his favorite record – a Broadway cast recording of The Drowsy Chaperone – and describes it to his audience. There’s the starlet who’s giving it all up for love, her fiancée, the tipsy chaperone, two gangsters posing as chefs, Trix the Aviatrix, and many more. Through the sheer force of his enthusiasm, the show comes to Technicolor life. It’s a great big NEW old fashioned musical for the whole family.
