Kaufman and Moss Hart Merrily We Roll Along is a vibrant and emotionally rich musical that traces a lifelong friendship in reverse, set to one of Stephen Sondheim’s most dynamic and intricate scores. Moving backward in time, the story follows three artists as they navigate ambition, success, and the compromises that come with chasing their dreams. Blending sharp wit with deep poignancy, Merrily We Roll Along explores how choices shape our lives, and asks us to consider what we hold onto, what we let go of, and what it truly means to grow up.
