Photo Flash: Desert Star Playhouse Presents TWI-LITE: I Was A Teenage Vampire
Desert Star Playhouse kicks off its 2010 Season with "Twi-Lite: I Was A Teenage Vampire." This hilarious parody for the whole family opens January 7th at Desert Star Playhouse.
Written by Ben E. Millet and directed by Scott Holman, "Twi-Lite: I Was A Teenage Vampire" is a comic farce full of romance, nutty characters and a heroic battle of good and evil. High school student Seth Goodman has had a crush on classmate Chelsea Chambers since the 2nd grade. But Chelsea doesn't even know he exists. Then Seth discovers that Chelsea is head-over-heels for a popular fictional vampire. Hoping to win her love, Seth tries to convince Chelsea he's a vampire. Suddenly he's the most popular boy at school! Everything seems to be going great until a real vampire shows up and challenges him to a showdown.
"Twi-Lite" is the first show of Desert Star's 2010 Season. Then it's off to the high seas with the swashbuckling parody "Pirates of the Car-rib-eee-an: Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Fun." This is followed by a rollicking send-up of everyone's favorite rednecks in "Beverly Hillbillies 90210." Don't miss Utah's longest running show when "My Big Fat Utah Wedding" returns for a limited 10-week engagement. Just in time for Halloween comes "Welcome Back Potter: Harry & Hermione's High School Reunion." Sparks of magic and comedy combine in this delightful parody! The 2010 season ends with a merry romp about one family's craziest Christmas in "Desert Star's Christmas Vacation: The Bi-Polar Express." "Twi-Lite" runs from January 7 to March 13, 2010. The evening also includes one of Desert Star's signature musical olios following the show. The "Western Shin-Dig" olio features classic country western songs mixed with more of Desert Star's signature comedy.
Food is available from an á la carte menu and is served right at your table. The menu includes gourmet pizza, fresh wraps, appetizers, and scrumptious desserts.
