Stockton Civic Theatre is proud to present Young@Heart -a concert gala to benefit SCT and The Bill Grotemeyer Fund. The event will celebrate and promote youth theatre education and will feature alumni from Stockton Civic Theatres Junior Program. Youll hear how these artists have used the education they received with the Junior Program as a catalyst for their artistic endeavors. We are delighted to have many faces youve seen in recent SCT productions and some familiar faces returning to the SCT stage for this special event. The night will also highlight the wonderful work The Bill Grotemeyer Fund is doing to increase access to youth theatre education at Stockton Civic Theatre. The event promises to be a joyous evening of music, stories, and celebration.Amongst others, performers will include alumni Ethan Albala, Sara St. Pierre, and Eliot Waldvogel. In addition to his work at SCT as an actor, lighting designer, music director, and conductor, Albala is a recent graduate of the prestigious Conservatory of Music at University of the Pacific and teaches choir, guitar, and piano for Stockton Unified School District. St. Pierre has dazzled SCT audiences for years and went on to study Musical Theatre at Chico State. She then moved to Los Angeles where she works on the Academy Awards and performs around the city. Waldvogel is a current SCT Jr. participant although he took the last year off to perform in the national tour of The King & I. He will be appearing in SCTs upcoming Matilda: The Musical. Tickets for the event are on sale for $50 per ticket which includes entry to the cocktail hour featuring tastings from local restaurants and wineries, a silent auction, and the main stage concert featuring SCT JR alumni.
