Last week, Ms. Dowd was nominated for the 2018 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her performance as Aunt Lydia in The Handmaid's Tale (Hulu), a role which earned her last year's Emmy Award in the same category. For her work as a series regular on the HBO series The Leftovers (2014-2017), she was nominated for another Emmy Award.

"We are thrilled to honor Ann Dowd, who is part of the Penguin family," says Joe Brancato, Penguin artistic director and founder. "Ann starred in four plays in Stony Point: A Different Moon, Eleemosynary, The Mysterious Mr. Love, and The Woolgatherer."

"Returning to Penguin Rep is like coming home to the family I love," says Ms. Dowd. "Working there reminds me of why I wanted to be an actor in the first place. I've loved every experience I've had there, every wonderful play, every wonderful role, in that beautiful theatre in the country."

The festivities will commence at 4 p.m. with musical entertainment and an interview with Ms. Dowd at Penguin Rep Theatre located at 7 Crickettown Road before moving to the Gilmor Sloane Mansion on the adjacent grounds for dinner and refreshments catered by Rockland Roots.

Seating is limited. Gala tickets are $175 each ($145 of each ticket is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law).

Tickets may be purchased online at www.penguinrep.org or by calling (845) 786-2873.
