The Philipstown The Philipstown Depot Theatre is pleased to present Phil Geoffrey Bond's My Queer Youth on Saturday, November 18 at 8pm. My Queer Youth, a hit at off-Broadway's Laurie Beechman Theatre in 2010, is being revived for this special one-night-only performance on the banks of the Hudson River. Featuring music by some of the greatest songwriters of the past century, the evening is intermingled with spoken text by Bond about growing up different amongst the cornfields of southern Indiana.

Tickets, $25, are available by visiting philipstowndepottheatre.org or by calling 1.800.838.3006. The Philipstown Depot Theatre is located at 10 Garrison Landing in Garrison, NY, four miles North of the Bear Mountain Bridge, and adjacent to the Garrison Metro North train station, where parking is available at no cost. Please visit philipstowndepottheatre.org or call 845 424 3900.

The Philipstown Depot Theatre is sponsored by Philipstown Recreation and Philipstown Performing Arts.

My Queer Youth is a funny and poignant look at what it's like to be offbeat. From invading the showtune section of the local public library to asking a boy out on a date, a deep affection for Barbra Streisand to a political and personal awakening, My Queer Youth follows a precocious young man's journey into manhood.

For this special one-night-only event, some of Broadway and cabaret's brightest voices will grace the Depot's stage, including: Jenn Lee Andrews (Broadway's Les Miserables, Nine, Grand Hotel), Christine Bokhour (Broadway's Chicago), Karen Mack (Wicked), Rob Maitner (Urinetown), Sally Mayes (Broadway's She Loves Me, Steel Magnolias, Welcome to the Club), Lisa Sabin (The Depot's Simply Streisand & Sondheim Unplugged), Lucia Spina (Broadway's Kinky Boots, Spelling Bee) and Lennie Watts (Award-winning cabaret artist). Music Direction is by John Fischer, accompanied by Jacob Yates on cello.
