How Did It Go Again & Echoes of Cobi: A Chadanm Productions Double Feature at Chadanm Productions

This May, experience two back-to-back original, locally-written plays in a beautiful double-feature event. These unique shows- How Did It Go Again and Echoes of Cobi- will make an indelible impression on audiences of all kinds.

How Did It Go Again invites audiences into a candid and often humorous exploration of memory, grief, and family connection. It tells the story of Andrew (played to emotional perfection by W. Richard Johnson), an older man who seems determined to preserve his life in his autobiographical writing. His task is conveyed through a series of events driven by discourse between him and his younger self (played by the hysterically larger than life Chad Moores, who is also the playwright and director of both plays), and their relationship deeply examines the complexities of aging, memory, and loss. All of these thought-provoking themes are expertly interwoven with outrageous comedic moments and beautiful romance.  

The female-led Echoes of Cobi, on the other hand, is a deeply personal look at relationships and the shadows they can cast across generations. The sardonic Suki (played by Cass Caduto, who masterfully navigates between snarky wit and emotional vulnerability) is a woman who is anything but grief-stricken after the loss of her controlling, abusive husband. As she reclaims her sense of identity, she realizes that the past isn't something from which she can just walk away; it's something she has to confront. 

Presented together for the first time, these works showcase Moores’ gift for character-driven storytelling rooted in emotional honesty and wit. “I wrote these plays to speak to the quiet moments we carry—the things we regret, the love we fight for, and the conversations we wish we had,” says Moores. “Staging them as a double feature invites the audience to sit with those echoes and reflect on their own stories.”
