Kenny G Set for 2011 Holiday Show at the VETS, 12/11; Tickets On Sale 10/20
Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kenny G will perform his 2011 HOLIDAY SHOW at The VETS on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 7P. During the concert, Kenny G's well-loved standards will be highlighted by moving and spirited holiday songs. Tickets for Kenny G go on sale Thursday, October 20 at the PPAC/VETS Box Office, located at 220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence; online at www.thevetsri.com or by phone at (401) 421-ARTS (2787). Tickets are $65 - $45; all ticket prices include a $2 per ticket facility fee.
In a recording career that spans nearly three decades and 23 albums, Kenny G has grafted elements of R&B, pop, and Latin to a jazz foundation solidifying his reputation as the premiere artist in contemporary jazz. Since the early 1980s, his combination of unparalleled instrumental chops and indelible melodies has resulted in sales of more than 75 million records worldwide, with 45 million albums sold in the U.S. alone, and more than a dozen climbs to the top of Billboard's contemporary jazz chart.
