OUR TOWN is widely regarded as Thornton Wilder's masterpiece. It tells the story of the fictional American small town of Grover's Corners between 1901 and 1913 through the everyday lives of its citizens, offering a meditative look on life, death, and everything in between. The Stern College Dramatics Society offers young Jewish women the opportunity to partake in all manifestations of the performing arts within an Orthodox environment. With a range of creative outlets including everything from acting to special effects to lighting design, the theater helps students develop self-expression, eloquence, and confidence. We welcome people of all colors, creeds, and cravings to pursue their dreams both on and backstage, and to add one of the most universally celebrated extra-curricular activities to their resumes.
