Schuylkill Free Shakespeare commits itself to community enrichment, education, and celebration. The words of Shakespeare have survived because of the timelessness of his stories and what they reveal to us about the human condition. We want to break down any economic barriers that may keep low income families from being able to benefit from seeing quality live theater.
Project Description:
Schuylkill Free Shakespeare (SFS) produces free performances of Shakespeare plays during the summer. These productions are in the open air, under the stars, and accessible to everyone. This year performances of “The Tragedy of Hamlet” and Tom Stoppard’s “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead” are scheduled for August 6th through August 11th, 2019.
