Deadline has reported that Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will be writing new songs for the upcoming animated film Oh, the Places You’ll Go!  based on the Dr. Seuss classic. Pasek and Paul are the Tony Award-winning songwriters behind such shows as Dear Evan Hansen, Dogfight, and A Christmas Story. The film already has theatrical roots in director Jon M. Chu, who is helming the forthcoming Wicked films.

What did our critic think of 9 TO 5 at CM Performing Arts Center? Who doesn't love Dolly Parton? It seems that the cast and creative team of CM Performing Arts Center at the Noel S. Ruiz Theatre's production of 9 to 5 would agree with that sentiment, as their utter enjoyment and passion for the music and the story is truly palpable from the stage.

“I haven’t laughed so much in my life,” the audience member me behind remarked as curtains drew to a close. A fellow patron to my right turned around and declared, “Neither have I!” The two instantly bonded over how much they loved SORDID LIVES, a self-proclaimed “black comedy about white trash” - the latest production from Encore! Performing Arts.

From Oct. 1-31, viewers can celebrate Halloween at home with haunting movies, including fan favorites “Ghostbusters” (1984), “Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride,” “Halloweentown,” “Maleficent“ and “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.” Films new to the lineup this year include Academy Award® winner “Get Out,” “Halloween” (2018) and “A Quiet Place.”

Manchester, UK based Vertigo Theatre Productions have announced that they have been given permission to present a limited try out production of a new stage adaptation of the iconic film BOUND.

Dewey Finn gets kicked out of his band as well as fired from his record store job, so what does he do? Becomes a substitute teacher in an uptight private school and creates a rock band with his students! That’s the story in the hit movie “School of Rock” starring Jack Black - and now the musical version will shake the stage at Theatre in the Park opening Friday, July 1.

Theatre in the Park continues its season of premieres with Disney's “The Descendants” opening Friday, June 17 and continuing with six additional performances Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19 and the following week Wednesday, June 22 through Saturday, June 25.
