When Bear Grease premiered at the 2021 Edmonton International Fringe Festival, its tickets sold out in just 15 minutes. This staggering success paved the way not only for future runs in Edmonton but tours through Canada and the United States. Now, in 2024, Bear Grease returns home, this time playing at The Citadel’s Shoctor Theatre. 

The Citadel Theatre has announced the upcoming production of BEAR GREASE, a reimagined version of the classic musical GREASE, featuring Indigenous culture and storytelling.

Grease, the stage musical that harkens back to the 1950’s, will open the 2024-25 season at Theatre Memphis and takes the fast track to the Lohrey Theatre stage, August 16 – September 8, 2024.

Producers of GREASE have announced that one of Australia’s most beloved performers, Patti Newton, will be reprising the role of Miss Lynch in the Brisbane season at QPAC in January.

Tickets to GREASE, opening at QPAC in January, will go on sale to the general public at 9am on Friday 3 May.

For a group of senior citizens in London, Ontario - fame wasn't on their minds when they signed up for an aged 55+ production of the musical Grease. However, thanks to a now-viral TikTok video, their May 2024 production is completely sold out, with an ever-growing waitlist at the box office.

This revival of Grease is close to perfection… and dare I say it, I think I prefer it to the film! Not only do we get to follow Sandy and Danny in Grease The Musical, we also become more acquainted with all the Pink Ladies and T-Birds, which results in Grease The Musical feeling much more of a Rydell High ensemble show. Producers of the upcoming all-new  production of GREASE have announced the final performers joining the gang at Rydell High. The production opens at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Melbourne on 31 December 2023 and Sydney’s Capitol Theatre from 24 March 2024.  

Theatregoers were escorted from a recent performance of Grease in London. During the Saturday night performance at the Dominion Theatre, eight police officers and theatre staff lined the stairway as the disruptive audience members were escorted out, to cheers of 'out, out, out!' from others in attendance. 

Producers of the multi-million dollar stage musical GREASE have revealed a sneak preview of a recording of one of the beloved musical's favourite songs, You're The One That I Want featuring Annelise Hall in the role of Sandy and Joseph Spanti in the role of Danny.
