Switch Theatre Company presents Eugene Ionesco’s classic absurdist play, Rhinoceros, which explores themes of conformity and individuality in a small French town where residents mysteriously transform into rhinoceroses. The story follows reluctant hero Bérenger, played by Phillip Solano, as he grapples with the overwhelming pressure to conform while his loved ones succumb to the transformation. Supporting performances include John Paul Middlesworth as Jean, Alexa Griffin as Daisy, and a diverse ensemble portraying various town residents. Directed by Adam Traylor, this production reflects on the dangers of collective behavior and the struggles of maintaining one's identity in an absurd world.
