Who runs the world? GIRLS! In 1793, during France’s Reign of Terror — a playwright, an assassin, a former queen, and a Caribbean spy walk into a room and attempt to save the soul of France while avoiding the edge of the guillotine’s blade. Olympe De Gouges is desperate to pen the perfect piece of revolutionary art for her generation, while Charlotte Corday is determined to become an assassin. Prophetic Marie Antoinette is happy to reminisce about her time in the palace while Marianne Angelle gathers intelligence to send home to the Caribbean. In a blisteringly funny portrayal, The Revolutionists depicts four badass women who fight for the equality of all women and for the love of their country.

Artists Rep Announces Lava Alapai As New Associate Artistic Director
January 27, 2023 Portland-based director and Resident Artist, Lava Alapai has been named Artists Rep's Associate Artistic Director. This one-year artistic leadership residency is intended to prepare ART's Black artists to lead an arts organization of comparable size.
THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME Begins November 27 At PCS
October 26, 2021 The Tony award-winning play based on the best-selling novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, will return to Portland Center Stage from November 27 to December 24. The production follows a 2020 run that was already playing to packed houses when it was canceled one week after opening due to the COVID-19 pandemic.About the Theatre
