The story: Famous detective Hercule Poirot (Mark Schwahn) has retired to the English village of King’s Abbot, where he hopes to spend his days tending to his garden. No such luck. Two deaths shake the village within 24 hours. Poirot is compelled to investigate when he learns that his friend, Roger Ackroyd (Todd Hermanson), is one of the victims. To find the killer, he enlists the help of the local doctor, Dr. James Sheppard (Grant Byington), and the new detective duo uncover a web of deceit in which every member of the manor’s household has something to hide. No one will see the shocking twist coming as the murderer discovers there’s no secret they can keep from Hercule Poirot. As Poirot says in his imperfect English, “I find there is fishy everywhere in this case.”
