After SOLD OUT shows in LA, DC, San Francisco, Edmonton and Vancouver, The Moth StorySLAM champion David Rodwin brings his hit comedic storytelling show F*ck Tinder: a love story to Dance Naked Productions’ “Come Inside: A Sex & Culture Theatre Festival” October 11-14 at the CoHo Theatre.

The Washington Post declared it “Inspiring” and DCist, “Hilarious and heartbreaking” after it sold out every show in Washington DC as well as over a 3-month run in San Francisco.

F*ck Tinder: a love story is a comedic storytelling rollercoaster. After getting held up at gunpoint the night his girlfriend breaks up with him, David moves to San Francisco and goes on dates with 120 women in 2 years - in search of love, but finding everything else. From a first date hook-up who unexpectedly brings along her infant, to being taken to a sex party by a woman who’d just told him “I love you,” David brings you on a journey you’re glad he took and you didn’t. From being pressured into a non-monogamous relationship to being taken to a psychedelic new years party, David’s crazy stories surprisingly grow into a serious spiritual commentary on modern dating, which leads to a tale of love that takes a strange twist - giving audiences hope.

In a time when men are more reluctant than ever to talk seriously about sex in a public forum, David cuts through the bullshit and divulges every detail of dating in the wilds of the Bay Area where there are no agreed upon rules of engagement. Far from a gratuitious sex-filled stand-up routine, David crafts an authentic and enthralling narrative in which he cuts his heart open in pursuit of that elusive connection.

David Rodwin (Writer/Performer) has created seven one-man shows that have played in over 30 cities in the US & Europe. He work has been developed or produced at venues from The Public Theatre to Mabou Mines. He’s finishing his memoir Never Meet Your Idols about living and working with his mentor Spalding Gray at an arts colony shortly before his suicide. And has also worked in the writers’ rooms on TV shows from CBS to Disney.
