Balloons + The Mummy's Purse features two distinct horror narratives that playfully intertwine the macabre and whimsical. In Balloons, presented by Daniela Nenova, a children's TV show from the VHS era transforms from a comforting watch into a chilling nightmare. Meanwhile, The Mummy's Purse, performed by Puppeteers for Fears, follows an Egyptian mummy as it chases down tomb raiders to reclaim a lost backpack while pursuing their very souls. This event is part of the Stage Fright Festival, a celebration of queer horror theatre at CoHo Theatre in Portland.
