SHORT PLAY FEST: PART 1 To Be Presented In June From Tour de Force Productions
Meghan Daaboul leads the Portland-based company as founder and producing artistic director
Tour de Force Productions will present SHORT PLAY FEST: PART 1 on June 3 at Gray Gables Estate in Portland, Oregon.
The one-night-only event, directed by Producing Artistic Director Meghan Daaboul, will serve as a benefit performance supporting venue rental costs for the company’s October production LIVE IN 3,2,1.
The enhanced staged reading will feature seven short plays written by William Thomas Berk, Yussef El Guindi, and James Van Eaton. The works draw from a range of source material, including current events and imagined perspectives, and will be performed by a cast of four actors: Annie Leonard, Matt Sunderland, Brandie Sylfae, and Meghan Daaboul. The format will incorporate elements of behind-the-scenes theatrical process, offering audiences insight into production dynamics alongside the staged readings.
Event Details
The program will begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. The performance will take place at Gray Gables Estate, located at 3009 SE Chestnut Street in Portland. Tickets are priced at $25, and seating is limited due to the size of the venue.
Additional Information
The event will include raffle prizes, dessert, and a cash bar. All proceeds from the performance will go toward funding Tour de Force Productions’ upcoming mainstage production. The program contains mature content, including themes related to loss, relationships, and other adult subject matter.
