A WORLD PREMIERE!
Goosebumps the Musical: Phantom of the Auditorium
October 22 - November 20, 2016 • Newmark Theatre
Mysterious events befall the theater and no one can be sure if it's just coincidence or the work of...The Phantom! Brooke and Zeke are excited to star in their school's next hit musical, The Phantom, until they hear a rumor that the show is cursed! Prepare to get "Goosebumps" as the mystery unfolds! This silly and (only a little) spooky world-premiere musical is based on the beloved series from R.L. Stine. [Recommended for ages 8 and up]
• Co-commissioned with First Stage Children's Theatre.

A WORLD PREMIERE!
Fly Guy: The Musical
January 14 - February 12, 2017 • Newmark Theatre
Boy meets fly. Boy adopts fly as his new favorite pet. Fly enters "The Amazing Pet Show" talent contest with his eyes on a 1st place trophy. At the contest, Fly Guy meets Fly Girl, and they fall head over heelzzz for each other. But will Fly Guy's dazzzzling flying skills also win the hearts of the pageant judges? This brand-new, world premiere musical will have you flying out of your seats! [Recommended for ages 4 and up]

A WORLD PREMIERE!
Flora & Ulysses
February 25 - March 26, 2017 • Winningstad Theatre
Can a super-squirrel change the human heart? After getting sucked up by a Ulysses 2000x vacuum cleaner, a (now hairless) squirrel is rescued by Flora Belle Buckman, a 10-year-old self-proclaimed cynic. She names him Ulysses and discovers he has been reborn a superhero. Indeed, this once average squirrel can suddenly understand Flora, fly, and even write poetry. Together they embark on an adventure full of quirky characters and bursting with heart. [Recommended for ages 7 and up]

Tomás & the Library Lady
April 1 - April 23, 2017 • Winningstad Theatre
Some relationships are so special they have the power to change lives forever. Tomás, the son of migrant workers, spends the summer with his family following the crops from Texas to Iowa, passing long days in the field. But when he meets an amazing librarian, she helps him find escape from the heat in the form of thousands of books. Soon his imagination takes off and Tomás discovers a whole new world of possibilities! [Recommended for ages 5 and up]
• A bilingual play based on the inspiring true story of the Mexican-American author and educator, Tomás Rivera.

Pinkalicious: The Musical
May 6 - June 4, 2017 • Newmark Theatre
You are what you eat in this sweet musical treat about a girl who eats so many pink cupcakes that she turns pink from head to toe. Doctor's orders say to stick to green foods only, but Pinkalicious just can't resist her beloved cupcakes! Tap-dancing doctors, Broadway-style ballads, a blues-singing little brother frost this musical with sweet delight! [Recommended for ages 4 and up]

OCT'S YOUNG PROFESSIONALS COMPANY
The Young Professionals Company offers a series of plays and performances presented by our
Young Professionals (YPs). YPs are dedicated acting students aged 14-18 who have been
selected to participate in a year-long mentoring program, through which they gain advanced training through exposure to a wide range of college-level workshops and professional development.

In the Forest She Grew Fangs
October 28 - November 13, 2016 • OCT YP Studio Theater
Smart, dark, and poetically unsettling. This bloody deconstruction of Little Red Riding Hood takes on werewolves, teen lust, and high school bullies. An intense, captivating piece, which tackles issues today's teens face every day. [Recommended for ages 14 and up]

Impulse: OCT's Improv Troupe
January 27 - February 12, 2017 • OCT YP Studio Theater
After last year's sold-out shows, Impulse is ready to take the stage again to create fast-paced comedic scenes and games-all based on audience suggestions! No scripts, no costumes, and no pre-planned scenes. Get ready for quick wits and lots of laughter. [Recommended for ages 7 and up]

Orphans
April 14 - 30, 2016 • OCT YP Studio Theater
Suspenseful, bizarre, humorous, and intense! This Tony-nominated show tells the story of siblings - sensitive recluse, Phillip; and violent pickpocket, Treat. When Treat kidnaps a mysterious businessman, the tables are turned on the two brothers in a strange, hilarious and moving way. The YP's approach to the show will be completely original, casting three sets of siblings to share the shows: two brothers, two sisters, and a brother/sister combination. When not acting in a show, cast members will work/tech the performance. [Recommended for ages 13 and up]

The mission of Oregon Children's Theatre is to create exceptional theater experiences that transform lives. Founded in 1988, OCT has served well over two million children, teachers, and families. OCT is Oregon's largest non-profit professional children's theater company and a resident company of Portland'5 Centers for the Arts. Performances are held weekdays for school audiences and on weekends for family audiences. OCT serves more than 120,000 children of all ages each year.
